Saturday, December 3 was our Holiday Workshop here at the Museum of Texas Tech. We had seven different projects for everyone to create.
Everyone got a fun bag to hold all their projects in.
- The scratch ornaments were fun. You didn’t know what was under the surface ’till you started scratching away.
- Look at everyone lined up to press a mold to make an ornament!
- Candy cane reindeer are fun and edible!
- Working on a jingle bell bracelet
- Don’t forget to dust the mold with cornstarch so the model magic doesn’t stick!
- Paper ornaments made from 12 strips of paper with holes punched in either end. Brads are inserted through the holes to keep the ornament together.
- There were so many paper choices for the ball ornament project!
- Hot chocolate and cookies were available for everyone to enjoy
- Painted examples of the mold ornaments. We used Crayola Model Magic, which is not messy, dries overnight, and can be painted or even colored on with markers!
- Working together to make a snowman box
- In a separate room, everyone made snow man boxes and had lots of fun with glitter.
- Check out that awesome jingle bell bracelet!
